Project Eagle Project

Our trip provided the boys with opportunities to do their Eagle Projects while we were in Fiji. There were two spots available, taken by Zander and Ashton.

Zander plays rugby in Montana, so he chose his project to provide new uniforms and rugby balls and so on for the village team.

Here's Zander, presenting everything to the village. And with the team after their game in their new uniforms. They were SO excited.

Ashton's project was so intense. He was working with the U.S. Navy or something to ship thousands of books to donate to the village school.

There were TONS of books there when he presented them, and even more were still on their way. The kids' faces were absolutely priceless - they were so excited to be getting these books. You could see that all they wanted to do was leap off of the ground, grab the first book they touched, and read cover to cover. They were leaning as far as they could without getting in trouble from their teachers. Makes you appreciate our libraries, huh?

Here he is presenting the books to the kids.

This is a little out of order, but the kids did some dances and sang some songs for us at the school before the books were presented. Oh, it was wonderful. My camera was dying, but here's what I got as far as videos go.
